Richard Norton
Professor Richard Norton’s legacy continues to shape everything we do. His deep knowledge and passion for martial arts laid the foundation for an academy built on excellence.
Thanks to his influence, we are proud to uphold the highest standards in both our students and instructors.
We offer over 100 square metres of mat space, with ample room to expand within Saxon HP. At the front of the academy, you'll find a fully stocked shop with training equipment.
Additional on-site facilities include physiotherapy, a weights area, sauna, and more.
At our academy, we believe martial arts should be a lifelong journey. Our goal is to help you train safely for years to come, no matter your age or experience level. You'll be supported, encouraged, and challenged at a pace that suits you—all in a welcoming, family-friendly environment.
Our mats are ego-free, and everyone is here to learn and grow together.

Not at all! Most of our students start with zero martial arts experience, and we also welcome those returning after time off or looking to get back into training. Our programs are structured to support all experience levels — from complete beginners to advanced practitioners — in a welcoming, safe, and encouraging environment suited to every fitness level.
For your first class, wear comfortable workout clothes like a T-shirt and shorts or leggings. We’ll guide you on gear options (like gis or gloves) once you decide to continue training. Trial gear may be available depending on the program.
We understand that everyone’s body is different. Whether you're recovering from an injury, managing a chronic condition, or have a physical disability, our instructors will work with you to modify techniques and adapt training to suit your needs. Safety and inclusion are core to how we run classes — you're always welcome on the mats, and we’ll support your progress at your own pace.
For beginners, 2–3 sessions per week is a great start. You’ll build muscle memory, stay consistent, and allow time to recover. As you gain experience and fitness, you can increase your training to match your goals — whether that’s self-defense, competition, or just stress relief.
Absolutely! Many of our members cross-train in both. The styles complement each other well — BJJ for control and ground defense, Kickboxing for striking and movement.
Yes, we offer private lessons for individuals or small groups. Private lessons can be arranged with one of our instructors and are a great way to receive personalized attention and accelerate your progress.
We love our customers, so feel free to visit.
